Microchipping
In the past few years, microchipping pets has become a very popular alternative to ID tags and collars. The staff at Primary Veterinary Care is not only equipped to insert these small chips, but also to scan lost pets for their owner’s information. Each of these chips contains a numerical code for your name, address and phone number as well as the animal’s name. This code also includes the veterinarian’s information that placed the chip. These identification chips are about the size of a grain of rice and are inserted nearly painlessly under the skin. Once your pet has their microchip in place, you can rest easy knowing that if they are lost, a reunion is not too far in the future!
